Re: (TV) Some Ominous News on Waterman's '33 1/3: MM' Approach

While we're on the topic of bothersome voices, does anyone else have a problem
with Colin Meloy's singing? I don't hate it, but there's something strange - a
seeming affectation (over-enunciation?), a semi-nasality, or just his timbre -
it's hard to describe - that gets in the way of my fully appreciating the
Decemberists; I can't stop noticing it. Incidentally, I've met Meloy - a friend
and I were comped for a solo show at the Paradise in Boston because my friend's
uncle is a friend of Meloy. He's a nice guy - so it's nothing personal!
