Re: (TV) "Tom Verlaine: a very reluctant Television star"

Well, he does call ADVENTURE the "comparatively poor follow-up" to MARQUEE
MOON, which is like saying HELP is a comparatively poor follow-up to A HARD
 DAY'S NIGHT, or something.

Much lazier is this: "One could not accuse
Verlaine (born Thomas Miller in New Jersey, 1949) of flooding the marketpl
ace with his music. We know of his work with Television, but since they fir
st split up almost 40 years ago, Verlaine has kept himself pretty much to h
imself."

If you ignore six solo albums, TV appearances, and semi-regul
arly touring from 1979-1990, this statement is true. Otherwise, it's only r
eally true since 1993 or so. Many recording artists of the late 70s have do
ne far less since.
