Exactly, Glenn.
I can listen to one or two notes from Tom, and tell you instantly who it 
is.  Could listen to a whole album of post-TV Richard and not have a 
clue unless I already knew it was him. THAT is the difference.  Richard 
is an awesome guitarist and may be the more likable person in some 
people’s minds, but creatively, Television was the result of 
Tom’s genius; if he has squandered the opportunity for 
greater/wider commercial success because of his personality or work 
ethic is beside the point to me. Three albums with the band, one epic 
and two very, very good, plus a very respectable collection of solo 
projects is a pretty decent legacy and we may ultimately have to be 
satisfied with that.
