Sorry to hear this.  Have lots of fond memories of stopping into Subterranean any time I was in NY.  Was always amazed to shop somewhere that had so much of this weird music I was into (legit and bootleg).  Always ended up spending way too much time in the store talking to Michael.  Robert Quine (also RIP) came in once while I was in there and I got him to sign a Blank Generation CD.

Positive thoughts to those who were close to him and his family.
