Re: T.V. Covers Brian Wilson / Ain't That Nothin' / RE: Mint copies of "Little Johnny Jewel" for sale

That’s a big “nooooooooo” from Jimmy Rip per him answering the question (re Wouldn’t it be nice) from me on his Instagram page.

Hi,  I sent this yesterday but it never appeared; so am resending.

I’ve been meaning to post this for months.

Verlaine/Television covereds Brian Wilson’s “Wouldn’t It Be Nice”  in a concert/show in Toronto t in 2019 as an encore.

Keith and I have previously discussed several times off-list how sometimes https://www.setlist.fm/setlists/television-7bd6ae1c.html and the fans who  report to this website about shows’ set-list get it quite wrong  about which song titles were actually performed at the show(s) they attended.

E.g.,   https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/television/2019/the-phoenix-concert-theatre-toronto-on-canada-5b90f7c0.html  has  “Ain’t That Nothin’ ‘ being performed live at Mr. Smalls Theater in  Millvale, PA  on May 2, 2019.)

However, my intuition about “Wouldn’t It Be Nice” is that Verlaine was in an atypical , rare, good mood, and really included the Brian Wilson song as an encore.

PS: But  I’d reckon the probability that Tom, Rip, Fred, and Billy played “Ain’t That Nothin’ “ in PA in May 2019 at:  0.027               : > )
