Unfortunately, no. But if I were betting, I'd say we'd have that in 2-3 years. The trend has already been towards higher-bitrate files, and some independent releases (like the new Byrne/Eno effort) were available as FLAC downloads long before the CD was released.

I am curious though: when purchasing a song for download, do most services
offer non-lossy formats (e.g. WAV or FLAC) in addition to MP3?
