(TV) The Only Ones

Following one of the earlier messages, I dug out the Only Ones Peel Sessions
CD this morning and put it on. It still sounds really great. In fact it is
certainly one of the best Peel Sessions - the band could really play. If you
listen to say the Buzzcocks Peel Sessions, you can tell that they were still
learning how to put the chords together - something that would have been
masked in the "real" studio.

A friend of mine interviewed Peter Perret a few years ago when he was
setting up his new band. He said that where he lived was complete squalor
and that the man was still looking very wasted. It's such a shame to see
talent like that just nod off. Guess that's why he got on so well with Johny
Thunders.

Cheers
