(TV) Christmas & New Year

As we're almost there and it's impossible to ignore Christmas here even
though the flood waters are still lapping around the front door (my
favourite record store now has sandbags around the entrance!) I thought
I'd offer my Christmas wishes and predictions for the new year:

In 2001:

* Wavewalkers will become a household name (about time)
* Either the Camber Sands reunion gig will be an absolute triumph or
Verlaine will insist on doing the whole of Warm and Cool (twice) while
old Mr Ed episodes are projected on a giant screen behind the band
(actually, that might just be interesting...)
* President Bush will get a passport and discover there's life outside
the U.S. He will visit some of it, decide he doesn't like it, and go
home again. Business as usual.
* All of the Television/Verlaine/Lloyd albums will be reissued on top-
quality vinyl _with_ the original artwork.
* We will discover what the lost 10th track on "Tom Verlaine" is. It
will be Johnny Cash's "Ring Of Fire", which can only be heard by playing
the Japanese vinyl pressing backwards at 78rpm; the track will end with
a mysterious voice intoning, "The Walrus was Fred".
* I _will_ secure the toffee-apple concession at Camber Sands and will
become incredibly rich and thus be able to fly to New York, visit
Subterranean Records and buy that Pink Floyd e.p. that Michael has been
advertising for yonks.
* I will finally get treatment and stop being so cynical...
