Re: (TV) the Wonder



I agree 100% with Ray - COVER was my first Verlaine album, but it's still
probably my second-least favorite (narrowly edging out WORDS FROM THE FRONT).
Maybe it's because the CD and cassette versions sound so bad - I'm not sure -
but I almost *never* listen to either of these. I don't even really care for
the live stuff I've heard from these albums, either.

It took me a while to get into THE WONDER, and while I definitely prefer his
debut,  DREAMTIME, FLASHLIGHT, and maybe WARM & COOL, I think it's a good
semi-experimental album - and the clearest sign of what was to come on
TELEVISION (1992). I listen to it fairly often when I'm in the mood for
Verlaine stuff...
