winter of 82, after reading an interview w/ will sargeant of
echo & the bunnymen, who mentioned verlaine as one of his
fave guitarists...
that interview also hepped me to love, leonard cohen, &
scott walker.
i went out & bought "adventure", "dreamtime", love's "four
sail" (weird place to begin, i know...but it's always left a
very warm, soft place in my heart for that particular a. lee
venture), best of cohen & a walker comp.
"adventure" & "four sail" hit me closest.
bought "marquee moon" the following summer.
