'Having a good beat' is a phrase which is used in my neck of the woods when
people describe their musical tastes . It's absolutely awful .

The majority of people here are happy to just listen to commercial radio -
which in England is shit - and that's how they reply .

So what do you like , then ?

Oh anything , as long as it's got a good beat . By that they mean Steps /
Sclub 7 etc awful awful awful . The most requested song in clubs up here is
The Best by Tina Turner , only people are so thick , they don't know that's
the proper title and refer to it as Simply The Best . AAAgggghhhhhh .

Sorry . Rant over . I'm moving to The Village , where the next 10 houses
along the street don't have identical CD collections .
