There's no danger of us falling out over something as trivial as one artist
, I simply meant that I remember that particular comment and I KNOW that he
was joking . Townshend has a beard ( sometimes ) . It's like when Bono (one
of your other heroes) replied , when asked whether Carter The Unstoppable
Sex Machine were supporting them on the Zoo TV Tour , that they wouldn't
have people in short trousers on their tour !

As you say though , we'll agree to differ . How boring would the world be if
everyone had the same tastes and opinions ? :-)

At least we both like the really cool stuff .(oh , and The Cheesemakers ! )

I've only just got MM and Adv on CD as well and I agree with you there .
They do sound awful . I have a battered Spanish copy of MM which sounds
better than the CD ! These titles need seriously updating - bonus tracks ,
sleevenotes , remastered - the works .
