(TV) Lloyd mentioned in this week's 'The New Yorker'

Page 25: 'The New Yorker' Magazine:

"CLUBS: VILLAGE UNDERGROUND 130 W. 33RD St. (777-7745)--March 16: Richard Lloyd, a criminally under-sung guitar gunslinger, was a pioneer of the New York City punk scene during his days as a foil to Tom Verlaine's more ethereal fret work in the band Television. Between brief Television reunions and a spell as a drug abuser, Lloyd released some eccentric solo material, the latest of which is 'The Cover Doesn't Matter.' Be prepared for big cheers from the purists if he even dips into anything off Television's celebrated album 'Marquee Moon' ."

I was hoping to leave work today to come to NYC to see Richard's show and frolic in this weekend's NYC St. Patrick Day parade, but my MM list postings in past few weeks ------which I partly used to procrastinate on my work project - -- have caught up with me. Anyone who's going, got a Lear jet I can hitch a ride on?
