Well, I think the point was the make faithful reproductions... but even then, I
would argue that a handful of his renditions are superior to the originals,
like "Harley Davidson" and "Ford Mustang".

Looking to get on-topic... Luna (with help from Laetitia Saedler from
Stereolab) did a great cover of "Bonnie and Clyde" and released it as an
unlisted track on PENTHOUSE, the same record for which Verlaine plays guitar on
two tracks.
