Re: (TV) Well, I dunno...

Here's a quote from "From the Velvets to the Voidoids":

"RICHARD LLOYD: Originally, when we first formed the band,
Richard Hell sang 40 per cent of the songs. Tom sang 50
per cent, and they wanted me to sing, but I really didn't
want to sing . . . Tom was brimming with songs--40, 50
songs came out of the period when we were together.

"Lloyd sang at least one song in the early Television
repertoire, 'Hot Dog', a Verlaine song that the Neon Boys
had recorded. Though he preferred to remain 'a guitarist
in a great band . . . I didn't want to sing; I had no
confidence in my voice', Lloyd shared vocal duties on 'I
Don't Care' (later rewritten as 'Careful'), each band
member--save for Ficca--singing their own verse and sharing
the chorus".
