That's right - early Television bootlegs are loaded with Hell's lead vocals.
The band was really Tom and Richard Hell's in the early days (1974). Tom
gradually cut Richard's songs from the setlist ("Blank Generation" was the last
to go), and when Hell's songs were gone, so was Hell...

Clinton Heylin documents the fall-out pretty well in FROM THE VELVETS TO THE
VOIDOIDS.
