You're right. I was a bit harsh on Marty. He was the Airplane's founder
afterall and that counts for a lot. He has a good voice too, I just never
liked his particular songs. It was Craig Chaquico, who I was thinking of in
my earlier post , who could really burn it up guitar-wise with the Starship.
Great guitar work around often unredeemable songs. Then there's Jorma
Kaukonen. I consider him to be one of the finest guitarists ever to put
finger to fret - just in terms of the amazing tones he could produce.
