interesting article.
let's say for a moment the music industry got what they wanted. they ended our right to "fair use". they got the goverment to stop or severly tax cdr sales. they figured out a way to add copy protection to their product. & eliminated peer to peer file sharing platforms. would the music industry still continue to loose money? would they sign better and more interesting artists? (whatsamatteryougotaproblemwithcreed?) & would cd prices come down? in a way i figure i'm the industries nightmare client. i buy a couple of cds a week. all used. half to a third are new releases. the only time i'll pay full price for a disc is for old blues or jazz that i know will never show up in the used stores. i use cdrs for live material.
