I have to agree, I think choice of amps and guitar are more important to
Tom's sound than effects, and I don't remember Richard using any effects
back in the old days though he certainly uses them now. I know I end up
getting more or less the same sound no matter what bass or amp I use, so I
think has a lot to do with the player also.
