RE: (TV) Got my Academy CD!

Oh I told Fred about the person that asked why is this band ripping off the
White Stripes when they heard Television and he got a good laugh out of it,
made me tell the story like 5 times to various friends that came by the bar
that he was playing at lastnight.


I'm not grousing here, but I didn't give that young lady a full rundown on
the historic/musical significance of Television when I gave her that
compilation - I put 'em on there because (a)I love and adore them and (b) I
wanted to see what kind of reaction they'd get from someone who wasn't
steeped in TV lore.  At least Fred got a laugh out of it.  And while I'm at
it, thanks, Dennis, for schlepping back and forth to the post office - this
is a wonderful album and some of the best money I've ever spent.  And those
of you into the 1970's Boston rock scene (I know of at least one) check out
