(TV) journalistic cliche ahoy!

The review below may be remarkable only in that the word 'angular' is used to describe Television's guitar sound for about the 3 millionth time!

From NOW Toronto (Oct 9-15 edition)
Television 'Marquee Moon' reissue
The dry and angular sound of Tom Verlaine and Richard Lloyd's Fender guitars on Television's watershed Marquee Moon album signalled the dawn of the punk revolt against the dinosaur rock establishment that still reverberated with the over-amped sound of Les Pauls. Now 26 years on, Television's nervous New York vibe has been ripped off and reworked by countless bands, so Marquee Moon doesn't sound quite so radical or strange, but it's still strikingly fresh. The addition of intriguing alternate takes of See No Evil, Friction and the title track along with both sides of the Little Johnny Jewel single which wouldn't seem out of place in a Rapture set make this timely release essential.
