I think I should offer my two cents on the Strokes. The first record was fun, 
although I think the band is trying too hard to sound "lo fi"....there's a 
sense of sophistication to their desire to sound so off the cuff and random. The 
newest record doesn't measure up to the first.

As far as comparisions to Television, I don't hear it. What comes to mind 
when I hear them is that they are ripping off the Velvets, if anyone. I see the 
band as more style over substance in any case. I don't hear any Television 
influences in their music.
