Re: (TV) Pan of Adventure

Typewriter bangers-on
You're all just hangers-on
Everyone's human 'cept Jules and Jim

- lyrics (from memory) to Pete Townshend's "Jules and Jim," his angry reaction, off the Empty Glass album, to some rock journalists' callous writing about Keith Moon's death. "Jules" was indeed Julie Burchill; anyone remember who "Jim" was?

It's worth remembering that Julie Burchill was a pretentious,
self-opinionated ignoramus back in the '70s and is even more of one now
(when she writes "Shopping & Fucking" books and gets wheeled out by the
Sunday papers to write at great length about nothing when they have some
space to fill)
