but you know what? i love "bad" voices. it inspires me that people who "can't sing" get up and do it anyway, and make stuff i enjoy hearing. think about it -- we're talking tom verlaine, bob dylan, patti smith, vic williams, joey ramone -- these are my favorite people. i'm inspired by their voices the same way i'm inspired by punk guitar.
They make it look easy, but at least some of those people have great, expressive voices. They're not a case of "anyone can do it."
