Re: (TV) Verlaine and Slide Guitar

it seems like he is playing slide live more after 2001 ,solo, music for films ,and television ,another thing he does more and more is playing guitar volume-knob swells ,this two things and the increased use of delay are all the significant noticeable evolutions of his guitar playing ...

sat on a folding chair in the shadows occasionally playing
his guitar (mostly bottle-neck style) "

As a guitar player who has a love/hate relationship with the bottle-neck, I was wondering if anyone would like to comment further on Verlaine and his slide technique. We don't often think of him as a slide guitarist and yet there are some good examples of his skill. I think mostly of 'The Fire' on 'Adventure' .What are some other tracks we can hear him play slide on ? Has he ever spoken explicitly in interviews about slide guitar and who his mentors might have been ?
