An early girlfriend of mine was a huge fan of 
Emerson, Lake and Palmer.  Somehow I was able to 
overlook this (luckily I was not required to go 
to their shows when they played in Boston).

Keith, appox. what year did your reaction to 
keyboards on a 'rock' song  soften? E.g., 
what about mid 1960's Sir Douglas Quintet 
with Augie Myers, and Dylan's mid-60's stuff 
with Al Kooper on keyboards?

Or were you referring to a strong  aversion when 
you were just a lad 9-12-ish?

You were not alone Keith. A friend of mine played 
keyboards for Ozzy on one tour and he had to play 
behind a curtain because the previous tour's
keyboardist played in a turret in a castle set a
