amazing afterlife before she burned out in 1999 at 37. She co-wrote  
wrote the Bad Lieutenant script with Abel Ferrara, flirted with  
political radicalism, but never was able to break away from her junk  
habit. Almost the Nico of underground cinema.

After she died, Richard Hell posted a memorial on his website (which may
still be there, for all I know) in which he described her as an evangelist
for heroin.  Also check her out in "Special Effects" by the always
interesting Larry Cohen.
