I think it might better be described as Television's/Tom's 'glacial' mode.  As
in his song
'Kaleidescopin' ':

There's an interesting story about the spelling.  Rip says that around the
time he was playing
on Mick Jagger's solo records Ripp was not receiving the royalties he should
have been from
BMI/ASCAP.  When he looked into it, he found out that there was a big
BMI/ASCAP screw-up
because another person also had the name Ripp.  After waiting for over a year
for ASCAP to
straighten the royality mess out , he finally threw in the towel and legally
changed his name
to Rip.

particular Bomb archive in question.

Thank you for the welcome Leo, and thanks for explaining more about the Jimmy
Rip vrs Ripp name thingie.  Now it makes more sense.  It says online that he
lives in Buenos Aires, heh?

Ha, 'glacial' mode...that's funny.  But the line you quoted from
'Kaleidescopiin'  That's really a very lovely line.

Yeah, I'm sorry if people were confused before when I posted about the Bomb
'93 article...maybe I posted the wrong link or didn't make myself clear.

And thanks for the tip about the Wonder site but I've already been visiting
that site and been reading some of the articles there already.  I have more to
go but I agree that it's a great source of info.on Tom and the band.

And sorry that my name was confusing there...
