The book is "Patti Smith's Horses & The Remaking of Rock n Roll" by Mark
Paytress.

Plenty of Tom mentions throughout, but nothing to suggest he played a larger
than known role in the making of the album. It was very much Patti and
Lenny's
baby with, of course, John Cale playing a tempestuous role as producer.

Ah, thank you so much for answering Glenn.  That straightens things out then.
 
Was Alan Lanier sp? also involved in the making/recording of this album?  I
think I read that things were a bit tense during the recording because of all
the people together...that being Tom and Alan.  Does it talk about that in
that book
