Re: (TV) Monk/Trane's influence on Verlaine's playing
I'm with Eric on this one. McGuinn has that real liear style
much like Tom's. I doubt that Tom would argue the Byrds influence.
Hell, Lloyd has said that the "Days" riff is "Mr. Tambourine Man"
played backwards which he figured out once while doing acid. Sounds
as though it could be true. Damn if I'm gonna sit around and try and
figure out if he's tellin' the truth though. I'll just take his word
for it.
