Re: (TV) TV reforming

Didn't Peter Laughner briefly join the band in this period? It was shortly
after the Piccadilly Inn shows where the two bands (Rocket From the Tombs
and Television) played together in Cleveland and Laughner had just written
about Television for Cream (as something like - I'm paraphrasing - "the
greatest band you won't hear on record"). That would have been a clash of
the titans. Didn't Lou Reed also think it was a poor choice for a single (as
if the Velvets were a "singles" band)? I always thought "See No Evil" would
have been a killer single. That's the song that hooked me. And that's kind
of a Richard song, in that his solos are prevalent. And it's country-Stones
riffy, and that beautiful jangly/Byrdsy chorus. That song did more
evangelizing to guitar geeks than practically any other punk/New Wave record
I knew about then. It was like the whole history of Nuggets rolled up into a
pop/rock song. And now imagine if "O Mi Amore" had been released. Will it
ever, Mike?
