i totally agree with Cliff -this film is truly dire and a real lost
opportunity to examine a really interesting period in music to boot-it was
on tv recently and i thought i'd finally
give it a try but the unbelievably embarassing dialogue and hammy acting -
to say nothing of the dubious casting -(Ewan Mc Gregor as the Ig ? get outta
town
!)- nearly did my head in.It does a huge disservice to the glam
movement in much the same way as "Sid and Nancy" unfortunately did for punk
though maybe the soundtrack will at least maybe inspire curious parties to
check out the rest of the Holy Trinity's (Bolan/Bowie/Roxy) oeuvre...

On a positive note nice to see Dori Seda's name mentioned on the list-i
always enjoyed reading her strips -wasn't her stuff included in R.Crumb's
Wierdo?- btw what' s her connection to Lester Bangs? -i missed that one...
