RE: (TV) a question (seeking heated debate)

As for the Strokes, I, like Stephen, heard them at the local coffee 
shop (61C, for any 'burghers out there).  They were pleasant enough 
as background music, I must say, but quite lacking in the foreground. 
I didn't hear TV or the Velvets in them as much as I might have heard 
Velvets-influenced bands influencing them.

Maybe I need to form a band that is influenced by the influenced by 
the influenced...
