Nah, I heard it before there were any reviews... I've been surprised at how
positive the reviews have been.  It probably helps that the band is still
putting on good shows, by all accounts.

That was my expectation, but that's not ultimately my problem with it.  I
don't think the songs are that good in general, and definitely not up to
Tweedy's usual standards.  And as a conventional pop record, it's not nearly
as good as Summerteeth.

And I do not like those Eagles guitars, no matter who played 'em!

BTW did anyone catch The Only Ones on tour? I would rank it as the best

I didn't realize that had happened!  I remember it coming close a little
while back, but then fizzling.  That was a good band.
