 OK I've been holding my breath on this but honestly...
I am amazed at the anti-Debbie sentiment on this list.
To even suggest that she was un-talented as a singer suggests an impossibly high standard.
Shayla, Fade Away and Radiate, the aforementioned Union City Blue...
To me she is the dog's bollocks, the cat's pajamas, and simply, the BOMB.
She never seemed detached to me, and in any event if I had to choose that would be still be preferable to having to endure Patti's awful overwrought verse and those crazy eyes...
Every male Patti Smith lover I've ever met has been a latent woman hater.

You're likely right, Phil, but having seen them both, and having felt
the sheer sensuality of Patti versus the coke-whore detachment of Debbie,
there's no question about whom I'd rather...!
