It seems to me that a manager who hasn't updated his web page since 2007 is
perfect for Tom (or at least Tom's pace).

P.S. I suppose that it's
also possible that Telfer's indolence is partially responsible for Tom's pace,
but I doubt it.

P.P.S. About a year ago, I knew for a little while a guy who
was working as a recording engineer for Patrick Derivaz. He said Tom came into
the studio fairly regularly (to record, I believe, not just to schmooze). I
was hoping to learn more from him at some point, but then he broke up in a
particularly nasty way with his fiancee, who is my friend. So I have no more
contact with him.
