Re: (TV) Doctors of Madness/Lou Reed

Thanks for that. I remember seeing stuff about them in the NME and I always
think the albums look interesting. The violins are a put off for me
however--I almost always hate those things and feel they should generally be
destroyed. Think I'll give tehm a go sometime though although I'll probably
find them a bit too depressing.

On the mention of the Velvetsm, did any of the UK listers see a late night
programme called Planet Rock which was an interview wiith Lou Reed?
I've never bothered to enter any of the many debates on this list around Lou
Reed because I didn't want to offend. I always thought the Velvets to be a
tad overrated but Lou Reed?.....he never did it for me. Anyway thiis
interview was terrible. The guy interviewing him was a obviously a fan but
Reed was so patronising and rude to him I couldn't believe it. He was also
painfully boring(like most of his music in my opinion). Anyway I'm a
pacifist generally but I wanted to kick the tv in. Be interested to know
what anyone else thought of the programme.
