Re: (TV) Ray / Marc /Ziggy



Very disappointed to hear this. I have not heard that song and, by the sound
of it, I don't want to. However I must say that if we refused to listen to
bands/artists that have ever been derogatory to women in some way, there
would not be much to listen to. Times change and, hopefully peoples
attitudes towards racism and sexism have changed for the better. I tend to
find that sort of material much  more offensive in say, music from the 90s
than say,  music from the 60s  or 70s. That might not be right but that's
how I feel. So I don't know the Ray Davies lyrics from that song but, if
they are sexist and racist, I would hope that he is now ashamed of them.
