First song I remember ever liking was "Build Me Up Buttercup" by the
Foundations, in that
two-year-old-wobbling-around-to-AM-Radio-kind-of-way. First song I
remember hating was Bobby Sherman's "Julie, Do Ya Love Me." Because I
didn't. And pop idols have grated on me ever since.

My husband actually seeks those records out, which are (fortunately) not
all that frequently found in the States. He seems to be particularly
fond of the Madness covers. It's disturbing.
