How was I _any_ different than your average teen grunger in '91? How was Nirvana _any_ different than, say, Pere Ubu? Your son wasn't there in the 70's, and may likely just be dismissing that which came before.

Yeah, I'm afraid that most of the '90s just dragged by in a blur of awful music for me. Come to think of it, so did a large part of the '80s. And, so far, the '00s...

But hey, there's a new U2 album out! It's 1982 all over again...perhaps they've invented soul music, this time, or something...
