now joe, i know you were paying attention and tuned in, like many of us here
on the left coast, long before '88.
plus, westerberg and mould didn't really hit steam til the mid '80s, as you
know. so really what you have, sherlock holmes might say, are several stages
that indeed -- though for a short time -- built on the punk spirit and
layered on more traditional rock melodies with hotshit lyrics. n'est pas.
taste, however, is taste.
point of view, too, is just that.
little else matters.
that's why i still listen to early beatles.
