I've been playing Mr Tamb Man for years, but if you asked me to play the riff
backwards, I'd never be able to just pull it off - I'd need a few days of 
working it out.  But then again, I'm not RL either!

IMO, all the great Byrds songs are either covers or Gene Clark songs.  "Here
Without You" is another one of my faves.

Probably less the mastering than the cassette reproduction.  Some of that
stuff was just awful, but there's also something to be said for the grit
that tape compression brings.
